Reaching 50 Years Together: A celebration of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th Anniversary of Independence, a coalition of Boston organizations and individuals has been organized as a project under the fiscal sponsorship of Unity Sports and Cultural Association a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that is devoted to making a difference in the community. The project's goal is raising net $10,000. Funds raised from all sources will be donated to charitable institutions in Trinidad and Tobago. Events organized will culminate in a Golden Jubilee Gala on August 18th, 2012.
Mission statement: To commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago's Independence in Boston and to raise $10,000 for charitable organizations in Trinidad and Tobago.
